To connect a network switch, follow these steps:
🔌 Requirements:
- One network switch
- One router or modem
- Ethernet cables (RJ-45)
- Computers or devices to connect
✅ Steps to Connect a Switch in a Network:
1. Power the Switch
- Plug the switch into a power socket using the adapter provided.
2. Connect Switch to Router
- Use an Ethernet cable.
- Plug one end into a LAN port on your router.
- Plug the other end into any port on the switch (except if there's a special “uplink” port — then use that).
3. Connect Devices to the Switch
- Use more Ethernet cables to connect PCs, laptops, printers, etc. to the switch ports.
4. Check LEDs
- Most switches have LED lights for each port.
- If the lights are on and blinking, it means the connection is working.

📝 Notes:
- A switch expands your network and connects more devices.
- It does not provide internet by itself — you need a router for that.
- Use Cat 5e or Cat 6 Ethernet cables for better speed.
