To install Windows 11 on a desktop PC, follow these steps:
✅ System Requirements (Check First)
Before proceeding, ensure your PC meets Windows 11 minimum requirements:
- Processor: 1 GHz or faster with 2+ cores, 64-bit compatible
- RAM: 4 GB or more
- Storage: 64 GB or more
- UEFI with Secure Boot
- TPM version 2.0
- DirectX 12-compatible graphics
- Internet connection for setup

🧰 What You Need
- A USB drive (8 GB or more)
- A second PC (optional, for creating installation media)
- Windows 11 ISO or Media Creation Tool
📥 Step 1: Download Windows 11
Go to the official Microsoft site:

Options:
- Use Media Creation Tool (easiest for bootable USB)
- Or download ISO file to manually create installation media
🔧 Step 2: Create Bootable USB
Use the Media Creation Tool, or use a tool like Rufus (for ISO method).
Using Media Creation Tool:
- Run it and choose "Create installation media (USB flash drive)"
- Select language and edition
- Choose your USB drive
- Let it create the bootable drive
💻 Step 3: Boot from USB
- Plug the USB into your desktop
- Restart and enter BIOS/UEFI (usually press F2, F10, DEL, or ESC during boot)
- Set USB as first boot device
- Save and exit BIOS
🛠️ Step 4: Install Windows 11
- PC will boot into the Windows 11 installer
- Select language > Click “Install Now”
- Choose “I don’t have a product key” (if you want to activate later)
- Select Windows edition
- Choose Custom: Install Windows only
- Select your main drive > Format if needed
- Click Next — installation begins
